My two children developed a keen interest in art at an early age. When they were still toddlers, they love coloring books and drawing, I thought it was just normal for children their age to enjoy coloring books and pencils. But when they went to grade school, they asked me to buy them water colors and paint brushes. When they are about to enter high school, they are already making good looking collage. Both of them make a sketch of our home and their dream homes they want to have when they grow old. When they enter college, they started making avatar in their computers. I am an accountant and I deal with numbers so to better understand my children’s passion I logged online and learn more about avatars and collages and sketches. That was when I realize, those things they are doing is very interesting.
You do not need to be an artist just to appreciate the value of those things. There are a number of collages being sold online that are very expensive yet they are worth the price. They depict a story from the past or from the present. I have decided to buy one of those and have it hang in our living room together with the sketches of my children that were framed.
